I'm very excited to announce my first workshop in Missouri! Join me June 21-23, 2013, in Lees Summit, MO, for a fun 3-day workshop of painting flowers in oils. Class will be held from 9 am to 4 pm each day, starting with a demonstration each morning working from fresh flower arrangements. In the afternoons, students will paint their favorite flowers step by step with the instructor, and will have three completed paintings to take home with them when the workshop is concluded.

Open for beginners to those experienced in oils, as well as those who have only used other mediums in the past, we will learn to loosen the approach to the floral still life. I'll share all my favorite tips with you for creating brilliant color on a transparent background, and methods for making your flowers look authentic and beautiful. I'll help you set up your palette and show you how to use your painting tools. Students are encouraged to take lots of photos and ask many questions, so you will take home the tips and tools you need to create flowers paintings you will enjoy for years to come.
